Allergies, Sinusitis & Asthma

In Chinese medicine, allergies are considered an imbalance in the body which could be due to stress, poor diet, constitutional weakness or the environment. With these imbalances, the functions of the organ systems will be affected. The immune system is considered the “Wei Qi” in Chinese medicine and if there is an imbalance in Wei Qi, our body can become weak. If the organ system is weakened, it will not be able to produce more Wei Qi and the body will be vulnerable to attack by dust, mold, pollen, etc. If the Wei Qi is weak, the body will be more susceptible to colds and allergies.

Dr He will create a treatment plan addressing the root problem (if the organ system that is causing the problem) with a general goal to boost up your Wei Qi. Precise acupuncture and an individualized treatment plan that calls upon several different methods of natural health care (including dietary measures, exercise, and massage) is prescribed, with the overall goal of treatment being to control the symptoms of allergies while fighting the root causes and imbalances within.

Studies have shown that with acupuncture treatments can result in total recovery of sinusitis. In a clinical study with 85 participants, 96.5% completely recovered within 30 treatments. Sinusitis is caused by deficient Wei Qi and Dr. He will work to strengthen and regulate the qi. Each individual will have a treatment plan catered to their specific needs. Depending on your severity, you may not need 30 treatments to recover
